I’m Pat Lane an ex-outlaw deer hunter turned storyteller. Now, before you get any ideas, let me set the record straight: I do not recommend you follow in my footsteps (unless, of course, you’re looking to end up in jail!). The stories I tell are true, and while they might have you laughing, they also help paint a picture of what life was like hunting whitetail deer on the King Ranch as an outlaw. It was a wild, adventurous life, and I’m here to share it with you so the next generation can understand what it really means to live on the edge… without, you know, getting arrested.

But, my storytelling isn’t just about reliving the past. It’s also about helping others. I’m a big supporter of my daughter’s work with autistic children—something close to my heart since my own niece has autism. I’ve even had the chance to travel to Africa and see firsthand how helping kids with autism can change lives. And we’ve got big dreams, too. One day, we hope to open a place for individuals who outlive their caregivers. Because that’s a cause I’m truly passionate about.
